Leaving

Front room with big painting
Well I did not get to paint on the big painting, will finish it in Eugene. Many things I wanted to do, time has run out. Everything I packed and went through brought back memories. The time went by so fast, the real live experience is so wonderful, the memory a shadow. At least memories can be revived from different times in our lives, things happen that connect them together and I know my entire life is stored in me some place and it is and always will be, even if I can't bring it to my present consciousness. I am trying to stay focused on the moment, thinking of past and future makes me cry. Doug and Christina have done most of the work.  Sunday they drive up with the truck and my friends will be here to help move everything into the truck. Monday I will leave and begin a new journey. When Charlie and I moved here in 1984 we knew no one. I can't remember how I met the friends I have in my life now. I will miss them so much, this beautiful place, swimming in the cove, walking with my dog, taking in everything around me. We say goodby to to those we love and hope we will see each other again. We will, because the bond is forever in this lifetime and beyond.

Pemaquid Point

Three at Attention
Had a little opening last night at the Pemaquid Watershed Association, 20 paintings in the show. The president was there. I asked how many members in the organization and he said 800. There were about 15 that showed up. I am for preserving the land and I bring attention to it in my paintings. None of them bought a painting. I sold the one above to another artist friend who came to the opening. I hope I don't sound unkind, they were nice people. Perhaps they don't understand artist speak for the times. We are recording life, the good the bad and the ugly. We are reporters with paint brushers. A picture is a thousand words. Mybe you have never been to Pemaquid Point but you can see it as I felt it and represented it in this painting. By seeing this painting you might like to go there and see the real physical place, dramatic, wild and beautiful.

Busy and in Chaos

Since Doug and Christina left last Monday I have not packed one thing or painted on my last large masterpiece. I have been on the computer a lot trying to set up the GoFundMe and connecting that to face book and my plogspot. I did it on my own and maybe I did't get it right but it sees to be working enough that people have responded. I am not into charity, I am hoping to exchange paintings for the contributions. I realize the price of my paintings are beyond what most of my friends can aford, and that maybe a incorrect  assumption on my part. However I price them for what I feel they are worth as I have many years of experance painting them and I as a person have selfworth not just with painting but with living. I will always have the belief that no matter what happens in our lives, we have set it up that way and it is for our growth and fulfilment and for the good of everyone that participates. We must remember that what we do, is not possible to do without the cooperation of all even those we do not know. I thank all that have contributed to the fund and keep plugging for me. It is amazing and I love you all for it.
Below is the painting I am working on. During full and new moons, tides are highest and lowest. Here the tide is dead low and it is mostly mud flats with the water chanels moving around the island.

Surfs Up 10 x 15 $ 200.00
It is wonderful I am getting a good response to the fund raising for my trip. What I want to do for those people that like my work and can buy one, is for them to choose a painting, email me the title, pay for it by contributing the price of the painting to the fund, email me, and I will mail the painting to the address given me.
For those in the Newboryport area
Alice Zingaro, Motes and Marge Motes have set up a show for me at the Newburyport Art Association, one week, June 26 to July 1. Pam, Alices mom was one of my best friends in Newburyport and I have kept in touch with Alice. I used to have a one person show at the Art Assoc every year for years. I may have the longest run of shows there of any other artist. The question is will I be there in person. Doug wants me to be there. I have been gone from the area so long how many people know of me. I have a few faithful friends and I would like to see them but I will have to come back from Eugene, and will I sell any paintings from the show. Well you can give me your opinion. It is always good to here from friends.
