Fall in Eugene and surrounding areas. There is beautiful autumn color in Eugene because there are many varieties of trees and shrubs. They come into color over an extended period of time. Some trees are completely bare others in bright foliage color. A couple of trips took us up the McKenzie River and another to Sweet creek. The McKenzie trip went past last years fire damage, a 20 mile stretch. Stopped at Cougar Reservoir, 1500 elevation and up to Clear lake then fo;;owed McKenzie down to Sahalie falls. Another trip tp Sweet Creek follower the creek along a trail that was built right up to the side of the steep hillside.
