We are, you me the rest of humanity, the magnificent human, creators of our world , this world, this world of upheaval, at the beginning of something great about to break forth into a better world. Are you not excited!  Below are images of other artists paintings of #cityscapes I like. Do what you love to do, it is a good energy and it radiates out.

Other Artists Paintings

I listen to Democracy Now quite often. It is usually about the the  events that take place around the world, war, death and destruction.  I need not elaborate.
. Amy also has stories about people that are making the world a better place, people taking action, speaking up, living examples of the goodness that is in all of us. Unquestionably the world is in crisis, and it is in times like this that change takes place to solve problems, social, economical, ecological, and environmental .
Stop and realize how magnificent the human is,  creators and destroyers. We have evidence of civilizations that have risen and fallen. There are monuments, structures, inscriptions, writings, paintings and sculptures, physical evidence of humanities greatness. The creations of mankind are results and response to the societies they live in.
Amy Goodman interviewed Martin Espada and he read a poem he wrote “Floaters” It is a poem that pays tribute to a Salvadoran father and daughter who drown at the US border. I was moved as I listened to the words that evoke an emotional response. Then I thought about all the voices out there and I was listening to one individual expressing his feelings and reaction to an event that he feels deeply about. As an artist that loves paintings, living in these times of instant access to information I can look at other artist works all over the world. What it does is reinforce my belief in the greatness of mankind that can express the soul of man and nature. I have hundreds of images on my computer, mostly paintings,  that are the result of thoughts, ideas and feelings made physical, into forms that others can see.
I have several categories. There are many ways, styles, movements, expressions of our times but I focus on the way I like to paint.
Below are images of paintings that I like. I like realism, expressions of the beauty everywhere around us. I also included two of my favorite abstract  painters Richard Diebencorn and Franz Kiline
