EASTER 2022

HAPPY EASTER

Growth, new beginnings,  rebirth, rejoice

Below a quote I found.

I see a world where interdependence has found its home and its place. A home where people are deeply settled and not ruffled. A home where there’s intimacy in all its various forms, where there’s community and a world where we really see each other and all of Life for who and what it really is. With this perspective, we don’t run past things, we don’t abuse things, and we don’t take advantage of things. We don’t disregard things but instead really experience the fullness of the sacred in all things where, as the Jesuits say, God is in all things.

All the trees are in bloom now in Eugene, absolutely beautiful. I rode my bike to the rose garden just to see the magnificent oldest cherry tree in Eugene in blossom. The magnolia, cherry, apple, big leaf maple, and others I don’t know are in flower. I can’t speak for other cities but Eugene with the many varieties of trees and shrubs is extraordinarily  beautiful in the spring.

I go to the farmers market every Saturday. It fills me with joy to be around beautiful energy. I spend time just to take in the visural display of food, and all the people with their interesting outfits and baskets and bags of all kinds being filled with organic fresh vegetables. There is music and children and old people  intent on their shopping and groups standing in conversation, or sitting on the curb eating a sweet they just bought. When we get bombarded with all the crazy stuff going on in the world, the farmers market is a haven of refuge, a place to experience the good things in life. read captions under photos
