Phoenix arising from the ashes

Most change that takes place for the betterment of the human race, happens at a grass root movement. Against all odds corrections in government policies have brought about, the end of slavery, women’s right to vote, civil rights and more. The election of Trump has shocked people into action, and this action is for the rights of all people of all denominations, races and color. The demonstrations that are taking place now, are non violent, speaking for rights for equality, truth justice, freedom, etc. Never before have so many people world wide been moved into action, on the streets, sending emails, writing letters signing petitions, people of compassion. I listen to you tube when I paint and I heard this comparing dark and light. Darkness is unable to change it self. Light is action and darkness can only change when it is penetrated by light. In the end Darkness never wins. In the end there is no darkness. In the end we become united. People we are the light.

Below are some messages I have read in the last week
Frederick Douglass , once a slave, part of a speech July 5th 1852
At a time like this, scorching irony, not convincing argument, is needed. O! had I the ability, and could reach the nation's ear, I would, to-day, pour out a fiery stream of biting ridicule, blasting reproach, withering sarcasm, and stern rebuke. For it is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. The feeling of the nation must be quickened; the conscience of the nation must be roused; the propriety of the nation must be startled; the hypocrisy of the nation must be exposed; and its crimes against God and man must be proclaimed and denounced.

NOW is the time to develop a deep connection with the wisdom of your eternal Self. These are the times souls are lost and we've come too far to get pulled into the fray of political battles. We are all ONE PEOPLE. Let's tap into that.

Apple is open. Open to everyone, no matter where they come from, which language they speak, who they love or how they worship. Our employees represent the finest talent in the world, and our team hails from every corner of the globe.

In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, “We may have all come on different ships, but we are in the same boat now.”

Now is when we come together, beloveds. We need to stop the “us” versus “them.” We are them. They are us. Let’s not let anything pull us apart, not even a shocking executive order meant to destabilize our power as a collective. Let’s Transmute This Shock Event into a Love Revolution I’m not saying don’t protest or stand up for what you believe. Go ahead. Protest if that feels right. But don’t judge those who support the immigration ban. Get curious about them. Ask them “What hurts?” Ask “What is it like to be you?” Open your heart. Try to understand why they want to keep immigrants out. See if you can feel what it feels like to be someone who supports the immigration ban. Or if you’re in support of the ban, see what it feels like to be an immigrant with a green card who lives in the United States and can’t get back into the country where she lives. Try to stretch yourself, rather than defending your position and getting righteous about your position. Yes, I am shocked and appalled about the immigration ban, and yes, I felt like it was important to write about it yesterday. But let’s not let anyone smoke screen us into believing we are separate. We need each other. We need all of us. Nobody gets left out of a love revolution. Everybody is invited. Everyone is deserving of love
