sailing on the Adventure
The Adventure is a fishing schooner built in Essex MA 1927, 125 feet long, It was in Rockland ME in 1962 used as a day tripper. That was the summer Charlie played at a club in the Thorndike Hotel owned by the brother of Louise Nevelson the famous painter, sculptor. Last summer we found the Adventurer in Gloucester. It was completely restored and is being used for days trips. I had to take a trip on her. Doug by accident was passing through Essex a few years back when the Ardelle was being launched.
