Eugene Rose Garden

White Rose acrylic painting
Eugene has a beautiful rose garden. It is part of Skinner butte Park that follows along the river. It has an amazing diversity of roses of all colors and varieties. It is now the peek of the season although there are many kinds that bloom through the summer. Back in Maine the only rose on Back Cove is the rosa rugosa. So I especially appreciate the roses growing here.

The homeless in Eugene

A great many homeless people live in Eugene. When I first got here I walked around to see everything and find out where everything was. It was a shock to see so many homeless on the streets, under bridges and in the parks. Many have pet dogs. They even camp out on SkinnersButte in the woods that my window faces. A lot is done for them but I believe the situation is overwhelming.

Easter 2019

 HAPPY EASTER
Today is Easter, a beautiful day in Eugene. I thought I would send art depicting rabbits.
Spring is the most beautiful time of year here. Many plants and trees are in blossom now.
Also Earth Day

Beatrix Potter

Peter Rabbit

I traded for the rabbit and pitcher made by Trudy Curtis, friend, artist, in Maine
