Crop circles have always fascinated me. I want to use the geometric shapes in my paintings but not in a mandala form of a circle. I want to combine the shapes, connect them or move them in a fibonacci series. I really can’t explain how I come up with these designs, a lot is trial and error. So far I have made 24 sacred geometry designs, most this winter. I have gone back and forth between abstract painting and realism for years. With abstraction i see something in reality that triggers a series of paintings, variations of a theme and that excitement goes on until something else attracts me. I am always turned on and see things things as shapes rather than objects which can sometimes lead to painting abstractly.
